The sport of Cricket has evolved quite exponentially since 1962 when Seattle Cricket Club came into prominence. More than 1000 individuals have already played for Seattle Cricket Club in the last 50 years with Late Mr. Frank Willesden presumed to have been active during the "social" phase of Seattle Cricket in the pre-WWII era of the 1930s and served as Chairman of the club in his 70s until 1962. In the later years, Microsoft cricket enthusiasts got together in 1995 to create the Microsoft Cricket Club (MSCC) which was then instrumental in forming the Northwest Cricket League and together with American Recreational Cricket League (ARCL) there are more than 2000 players both men & women play cricket here in Seattle while representing about 150 teams. WASITRAC is proud to support the Seattle MAQ T20 tournament EMERALD Cup, the national level tournament which is being held for the first time at the historic Magnuson Park in Seattle during the Labor Day Weekend from Aug 31st to September 2nd in Seattle.
